THE CONSERVATORY

It is hard to believe but behind this wooden fence is the Conservatory that Mass was said in as a temporary chapel from1874 - 1877. After the disused Methodist Chapel in Harborne High Street became too small and Harborne Lodge was purchased in 1873 this was 'St. Mary's' until the old church was opened in 1877.
