1964: The Beatles- Rock and Roll Music.
Just had to include another Beatles track which typifies exactly what The Beatles were all about!
from : @freeguy77 “John does almost the opposite of how Chuck Berry sang his composition (May 1957): with a frenetic energy level that was off-the-charts high! Giving it a manic, exciting quality, with the accompanying piano (from producer George Martin) background that Chuck did not achieve. However, in 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Chuck's song a strong #128 of"500 Greatest Songs of All Time." Easily one of my Top 10 Beatles songs, along with John's equally titanic vocal strength. “Rock and Roll Music" was not released as a single in the US or UK, but was on "Beatles '65" (US; Capitol; Dec. 15, 1964) and earlier, "Beatles For Sale" (UK; Parlophone; Dec. 4, 1964) albums. In some countries, "Rock and Roll Music" was released as a single, with "I'm a Loser" as the B-side, in early 1965. It topped the charts in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Australia. The single peaked at number two in Germany and the Netherlands, and number three in Belgium.” Rock 'n' Roll Music was a compilation album by The Beatles containing previously released tracks. It was issued on 7 June 1976 in the United States.
