My Garden 2006 - 2011
My Garden 2006 - 2011
2007 was a good year too and I changed the layout and colour scheme somewhat.
A greater variety of colour was the intention and it seemed to work quite well,
but spoilt a little by the continual rain during that summer.
March 2008 : A host of golden daffs, the smaller "tette-a-tette" variety that stay
upright and don't fall over, adorn the Spring garden this year, after a shower of rain.
A mild winter this year and everything is early, even the frogspawn in the pond!!
AUGUST 2008 : A wet Summer this year, again, and many of the flowers have
been spoilt by the rain, especially the petunias! But despite all that there is
plenty of colour still about in the garden.
The first week in February 2009. The worst snowfall since 1962!!
It snowed on and off for about two weeks, and it was COLD!!!
21st. October 2008. It is 74 years ago that we had snow this early!!
1st. March 2009 and the snow has gone!!
There's hundreds of snowdrops all over the garden
and a few crocuses too. Is Spring really here now?

And what about my Allotment? Started in January 2009
July and September
December2009
.
See the foot of the page for a video of my garden in the snow!! 6th January 2010.
It continues to be cold and after the snowfall on 5th January 2010
the next lot came on the 13th!!
How’s this for a really bad Winter ? From 15th December 2010 until 30th December the weather
was the coldest for almost 100 years with temperatures dropping to minus13degrees and
it was that cold during parts of January 2011 too!!
12th March 2011
Meanwhile, a couple of months later....
