This is a CHRISTmas Tree!
It is a CHRISTmas TREE!
not a "Holiday" tree,
not a "Winterfest" tree,
not a "Solstice” tree.
Yes, this time of year IS a Holiday,
but we are NOT celebrating a "Holiday",
nor “Solstice”, nor “Winterfest”!
“Christmas” means the birth of Jesus Christ,
so, please, put “Christ” back into Christmas!
The candles on the Christmas Tree represent the “Light of Christ” coming into the ‘darkness’ of the world to save us from Sin. (Lit candles are now replaced by flashing lights!!)
I am sure that non-christians are not offended by our celebrations at Christmas; in the same way that we are not offended by their own celebrations at other times of the year. That is called tolerance and multiculturism. So why try to change it to something else? If you don’t believe in Christmas then don’t celebrate it!
But I do wish you a very seasonal Merry Christmas!
