When I was much younger and staying with an Aunt and Uncle at The Horns Inn in Wimborne, Dorset, we always listened to Jimmy Shand and his band on the radio every week. We got out a couple of biscuit tins and drummed along with the music, the Blubell Polka being our favourite! The tune was also a much loved favourite on Saturday mornings Children’s Favourites BBC radio programme on the Light Programme. Memories!!
