THIS IS ALL ABOUT ME!!!

And here's something all about me.......
[if you really want to know!!]

Are you sure?
Do you really want to?

OK. Here goes........

[October 2005]

There is another photo of me taken when the "Daily Express",
the UK's leading daily newspaper,
featured my WEB SITE on 9th. January 1999.

And what did I look like all those years ago at junior school?
I raided my mums' photo boxes to find these old black and white photos!!
Click on my photo above!

I live in a very green and leafy suburb, south west of Birmingham which is in the County of the West Midlands in the middle of England, U.K.,
and I am a secondary school teacher of Design & Technology.

I don't have a family, I'm single and divorced, but I do have three beautiful cats, Tasha, Symba and Boots. Tasha is very affectionate and takes any amount of fuss though she is very independant and often stays out all night, except when it is freezing in the winter. Symba tends to be rather nervous and after a lot of coaxing likes a bit of fuss too. Boots is Tasha's son and he is a big, black fluffy cat with a bushy tail. Boots follows me everywhere and is more of a house cat!

Symba was a replacement for Mogwai, my first cat, who was ten years old and decided to go wandering outside on the road with disasterous results!!

Mogwai, in the garden.
My cats feature on a page of their own.

WHAT DO I DO IN MY SPARE TIME?

Well, I do like gardening, you should see my colourful garden in the spring and summer! I love to see plenty of colour in the garden and I grow all my own plants; and a few veggies like radishes and runner beans, not to mention a few strawberries!! I have recently experimented with growing peanuts!!! School work takes up some time at home but I also play [self-taught] the guitar! I'm a good cook too, so I've been told!! I have to do all my own housework and DIY.

When I have the time I research our Family Tree. If you are interested in Genealogy this site will interest you. I mess around with computers, of course, and edit and update my Educational Resources and Links pages quite often. And I frequently update my Birmingham Tourist pages, with its "What's on" section, and keep this whole site reasonably updated with new and interesting links. My latest addition is the Movies, Novelties, Games and Jokes index.

My musical tastes are varied, I like everything from '60's/70's pop to some of today's bands, girl groups and some of today's top ten singles. I also have a collection of some classical music and comic opera in my iTunes catalogue. I often go to see a band called "QUILL" who have been around Birmingham and the West Midlands for quite a few years now. I also originally designed and produced their first internet site but they now have control over their own site, so don't forget to have a look at it and see if they are playing a gig near you!! You might even see me there too!! So where do I find the time for anything else? I often wonder!!

I also design and make small pocket sized cards with verses, poems, sayings, prayers and quotes on them. They are plastic laminated both sides and I sell them to friends and other customers. I have an internet site devoted to them called "Inspirational Thoughts" which you might like to take a look at. I also design and make Memorial Cards to customers requirements.

More recently I have set up a new web site "www.assemblystories", Something To Think About, so I am continually updating my ShockWave Flash presentations, stories, verses and proverbs. It's almost a full-time job!! You can access it from HERE , if you want to take a look at it.

2008: I surprised a lot of people recently by joining a Brazilian Samba-Reggae drumming group which meets every Monday at a pub in Moseley. We will bedoing some gigs in , Moseley, Bournville and also at the Latin_American Festival in Birmingham City Centre on 13th. July. If you like that kind of rhythms then do take a look at these web sites....
www.myspace.com/oyabatucada
www.batalaportsmouth.com
The rhythms are really infectious!!!!

There's a lot more that I could say but I think that's enough for the time being!!!
